Sr. Data Engineer (Starlink Ground Networking)

SpaceX is developing technologies for a future of human exploration of the stars. They are looking for best-in-class engineers to maximize the utility of Starlink, the world’s largest satellite constellation, providing fast broadband internet.

Skills

Object-oriented programming (C, C++, Python)
Analytics and data science
Experience with Spark, Presto, Flink, Snowflake
Kubernetes familiarity
Custom ETL design and implementation

Responsibilities

Build and maintain mission-critical infrastructure and tools
Automate data metrics aggregation and issue detection
Establish relationships with third-party application owners
Develop ground-based software systems for data management
Analyze data products and create usable information catalogs

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
6+ years of professional data/software engineering experience in lieu of a degree
