Sr. Propulsion Analyst, Structures (Raptor)
SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Propulsion Analyst to ensure the Raptor engine withstands extreme conditions through analysis and engineering expertise.
Skills
- Strong background in structural and thermal analysis.
- Proficiency in FEA tools like Ansys, Abaqus, or Nastran.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct, document, and present static, thermal, dynamic, and fatigue analyses.
- Output requirements and capabilities for engine/stage interfaces.
- Collaborate in driving necessary analyses during design cycles.
- Ensure model predictions are based in reality.
- Evaluate and implement advanced analysis techniques.
- Work closely with hardware and test teams for improvements.
- Mentor new employees.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
