Structures Technician (Falcon)

SpaceX is seeking a Structures Technician to modify, repair, and assemble rocket and spacecraft components. The ideal candidate has experience in hardware assembly and a strong background in engineering.

Skills

Hardware assembly
Experience with tools
Understanding engineering drawings
Basic arithmetic skills

Responsibilities

Modify, repair, assemble, and install rocket and spacecraft components
Use tooling holes and pilot holes per drawing
Align parts and secure in place using clecos or tooling/hand clamps
Install fasteners in correct sequence per drawing
Shim and/or trim parts as required
Drill, ream, and countersink holes in parts/assemblies

Education

High school diploma or equivalency certificate
Certificate from an accredited trade skills program preferred
