Test Engineer (Development Test)

SpaceX is actively seeking a Test Engineer to join the Development Test Team. The ideal candidate will specialize in testing hardware performance and survivability to support major programs like Starship, Dragon, Falcon, and Starlink.

Skills

Hands-on testing experience
Knowledge of hazardous systems
Experience with high-pressure system design
Familiarity with instrumentation and control components
Experience using 3D modeling software
Experience with coding languages
Ability to analyze data from anomalies and identify root causes
Creative design ability while considering cost and reliability
Ability to read and apply technical manuals and schematics

Responsibilities

Develop and execute tests at the engine and component level
Provide daily direction to technicians for test articles and stand equipment
Operate and troubleshoot data acquisition and control systems
Automate test operations to increase efficiency and safety
Identify and resolve system pitfalls and potential hazards
Communicate effectively in a collaborative environment

Education

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or related field
