Human Resources Business Partner II - Byron Center, MI A day in the life of the Human Resources Business Partner is never the same, but in this role, you will be a change agent helping drive the overall human capital strategy for several corporate functions. HRBPs are responsible for fostering a high performing culture in which employees are fully engaged and living by the SpartanNash values. This individual should have deep technical expertise in various aspects of Human Resources but will be most experienced serving in a HR Business Partner role preferably with experience in leadership coaching, people development, talent planning and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives. Someone with sound business acumen and experience driving retention and engagement programs will be most successful. To succeed, you will need a flexible skill set, including the ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations. What You'll Do:
Manage the associate engagement and retention plans for assigned business groups, strengthening leadership capabilities, and improving opportunities for all associates to grow and develop at SpartanNash. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Managing Talent Planning processes and associated action plans Partnering with Leadership Teams and Talent Acquisition to ensure appropriate staffing plans are in place Partnering with Leadership Teams and Learning and Development to ensure proper associate and leader training programs are in place Promoting equity and inclusivity throughout the organization Guiding and counseling leaders and associates on associate relations issues and company policies, practices and procedures. Ensuring Performance Management processes are adhered to Ensuring compliance with HR related legal and regulatory requirements, to include local collective bargaining agreement, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) controls, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) regulations and Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) goals. Requirements:
Relentless sense of urgency and business focus High mental and change agility are crucial Ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required. MBA or Master's Degree, along with PHR/SPHR or related certification preferred. 5
years of progressive HR experience, including experience in an HR generalist capacity Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws, including EEOC, ADA, NLRA, Title VII, OFCCP, etc. Articulate and able to express an independent point of view and will be comfortable (appropriately) challenging conventional wisdom. Proven history of building and executing upon HR strategies including Associate Retention and Engagement programs. Bias for action and rolling up the sleeves while delivering exceptional results. Data driven Proven experience taking a systemic approach to solving problems and improving processes and programs.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
