Location: Huntsville, AL
 
Willbrook Solutions, an SAS Company, is eagerly seeking a Systems Engineer IV to join our team! In this role, you will support the THAAD Weapon System engineering directorate of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). 
 
Your role will be supporting the THAAD Agile development as a critical component of the planning and execution of the Iterative Engineering Technical Reviews (IETRs) program. The candidate will ensure the prime contractor is implementing the required engineering rigor and processes that will deliver a technically sound capability to the Warfighter, from requirements definition throughout development and verification efforts. The candidate's key areas of focus will be evaluating the program implementation of MDA processes and standards. In addition, the candidate will support THAAD Core Standards through the Variance, Alternate, or Citation processes. The candidate will also review and coordinate with the contractor to Verify requirements. 
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: 
 
Support the THAAD Weapon System Engineering Directorate (THE) of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
  • Maintenance, coordination, development, trace, and evaluation of THAAD requirements and the THAAD Technical Baseline and performing cross-walk and flow-down of top level requirements;
  • Ensure Prime Contractor implementation of contractual engineering rigor and processes to enable delivery of a technically sound capability to the Warfighter, from requirements definition throughout development and verification efforts.
  • Review and coordinate with industry and government Stakeholders on the verification and implementation of requirements.
  • Execution of Iterative Engineering Technical Reviews, including reviewing Objective Evidence (OE), tracking and resolving reviewer comments to OE, preparing and/or reviewing briefs leading up to the reviews, and planning for reviews
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: 
  • Active Secret Clearance and the ability to maintain the clearance
  • MS Degree with 12+ years engineering experience 
  • Understanding and application of sound engineering and analysis principles
  • Familiarity with complex missile systems and analysis
  • Familiarity with Digital Engineering and tools
  • Proficiency in written and verbal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Ability to develop and present reports and presentations to senior management-level personnel
  • Ability to work within a collaborative environment composed of Military, Government Civilian, Prime Contractor, and Supporting Contractor personnel
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 
  • Familiarity and past experience with THAAD, the Missile Defense Agency, and/or other complex Missile Defense systems
  • Experience supporting requirements development, allocation, and traces preferably in support of the MDA Engineering and technical baseline processes
  • Experience with DOORS, Cameo, and/or similar products
  • Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate across the THAAD Program Office, supporting MDA Stakeholders, and industry partners
 
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: 
Active Secret Clearance Required
