To process federal, state, and institutional aid that includes but is not limited to scholarships, grants, loans, student employment, and agency waivers.
Duties include reviewing and reconciling records, maintaining and updating electronic financial aid files, determining eligibility in accordance with federal, state, and university regulations, resolving discrepancies and communicating with students, parents, and the university community as necessary.
Primary Responsibilities
- Award and process institutional, endowed, non-endowed, and online tuition-discount scholarships. Input all scholarships into the financial aid software, Sigma ProSam, and scholarship database.
- Process federal, state, and institutional aid (scholarships, grants, loans, student employment, and agency waivers)
- Determine financial aid eligibility, resolve discrepancies, and review and reconcile financial aid data
- Interpret and adhere to federal, state, and institutional financial aid rules and regulations.
Qualifications
High school diploma plus two years of related work experience. 1-2 years of college-level courses are preferred.
Applicants must possess high levels of organizational and customer service skills. Excellent verbal, telephone communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary. Must have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multi-task successfully within multiple deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and work as part of a team. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, and Word.
