The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine, invites applications for a Junior Specialist in the laboratory of Dr. S. Ahmad Sajjadi MD, PhD. The lab is focused on various aspects of diagnosis of neurodegenerative syndromes: [https://faculty.sites.uci.edu/sajjadilab]
The appointment is for 1 year with the possibility of extension upon satisfactory performance. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to participate, and previous experience in research. Assistant / Associate / Full Specialist, if they are to be considered, must have or be in the process of completing a B.A. or B.S. degree at minimum.
The candidate should be extremely efficient in working within a multidisciplinary team and have strong organizational and communication skills. The successful applicant will become a member of a vibrant team working to improve the diagnosis and management of patients with degenerative brain disorders. The position requires an individual who is an effective team player, highly organized, and innovative.
Additional Information:
Applicants who have a willingness to get involved with IRB communications and have strong written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
