RHI Magnesita is seeking a dynamic Specialties Production Tech in York, PA. Our team is currently seeking a skilled professional to support the Specialties plant for our fast-paced refractory brick operation. Our successful team members are self-starters who can work independently without direct supervision. This position requires safety to be a top priority.

The Specialties Production Tech's tasks will include:

• Safely operating all Specialties plant equipment according to applicable JSA's and work instructions.
• Working on a variety of jobs as determined by production demand. Mixing, operating the bag or slab line, super sacker station, loading trucks and rail cars will be required of the individual filling this position. Handling transactions in SAP and production reporting are daily expectations.
• Following all safety procedures and lockouts as required.
• Checking equipment daily for safe operation. Reporting equipment problems to Maintenance and/or Supervisor.
• Visually inspecting all products to insure they meet the quality guidelines. Reporting any defects to a Quality Control technician and/or Supervisor.
• Progressing ideas to reduce scrap and improve the efficiency of the process.
• Safely maintaining a consistent rate of production. Reducing machine downtime by performing minor repairs.
• Performing daily and weekly cleanups, including PM, check all fluid levels, looking for and reporting any possible problems. Keeping equipment neat and clean.
• Inspecting and operating forklifts as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Employee must be a safe, quality oriented, self-motivated team player.
• High School Diploma/GED
• 0-1yrs experience in quality control
• 1-2yrs experience in Manufacturing.
• Role expectations:: standing, lifting, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and climbing; climbing ladders or stairs up to 3 or 4 stories several times per shift ; lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds ; and wearing all personal protective equipment required to do the job.
• 1-2yrs experience Forklift Operation
