Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of creativity and engineering, making it an exciting environment for anyone passionate about product development and media creation.In this role, you'll take charge of creating interesting, captivating products, and leading projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will encompass sketching, brainstorming, prototyping, refining designs, and user testing. While you'll be at the helm of your projects, our team thrives on a culture of collaborative support. Additionally, you'll have the chance to contribute to our YouTube and social media projects that continue to expand the limits of what’s possible.Duties/Responsibilities:Project Management:• Oversee the design and prototype phase to ensure consistent release of products and videos.• Manage project timelines, deliverables are on schedule.• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain, to ensure project alignment and success.Hands-On Development:• Utilize engineering, machining, and craftsmanship skills to build complex projects from start to finish.• Conduct feasibility studies and develop prototypes, iterating designs based on testing and feedback.• Apply knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles to ensure product quality and performance.Creative Design:• Apply artistic talent to finish projects and accurately represent prototypes.• Create aesthetic and functional products.• Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks) to create detailed design drawings and 3D models.Research and Development:• Conduct research on new technologies, materials, and industry trends to inform product development.• Implement innovative ideas and solutions to enhance product functionality and user experience.• Test and validate prototypes, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.Quality Assurance:• Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.• Troubleshoot and resolve design and production issues, making necessary adjustments to improve product performance.Skills and Qualifications:Technical Proficiency:• Excellent shop skills, with the ability to build prototypes from start to finish.• Proficient in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks. Experience with other design software is a plus.• Coding experience is preferred (e.g., Python, C++, or similar languages).Soft Skills:• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience and Education:• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.• 3+ years of experience in product development, preferably in a high-tech or consumer goods industry.• Experience with project management and leading cross-functional teams.Additional Skills:• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials science.• Familiarity with prototyping tools and techniques, including 3D printing.• Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.• Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements for consumer products.Location Requirement:• Must reside in Los Angeles, CA, or be willing to relocate.
