Refunds Manager

Spreetail is seeking a talented ecommerce professional to join our team as a Refunds Manager. In this high impact role, you will develop and execute strategies to reduce refunds and partner with business leaders in Merchandising, Supply Chain, Channels, and Customer Experience to achieve refund targets. How you will achieve success:
  • Own company Refund Performance and the Refund line on the P+L. Partnering with Finance to set financial goals, forecasts, interpret actual results and understand variance. . 
  • Own channel reimbursement claims processes to reconcile refunds (e.g. Amazon Safe T Claims, etc.), payments, and fees across all channels to ensure we are being paid what we’re owed and not being overcharged.  
  • Identifies and mitigates customer ordering and return abuse or fraudulent activity. Partners with our channels and merchandising teams on strategies to proactively stop such activity. 
  • Execute strategies to drive down product returns with high return rates and that lead to poor customer experience.
  • Leads Refunds team and responsible for team culture, creating an environment of highly engaged and high performing team members.  


What experiences will help you in this role:
  • 5+ years of e-commerce experienceleading and developing teams to reduce customer refunds and improve financial results.  
  • P+L ownership and executive presence as primary owner, managing executive communication and displays understanding of upward leadership communication needs.  
  • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. Has demonstrated experience of ownership for highly impactful projects that drive millions of dollars of opportunity or savings.  
  • Strong strategic planner with experience establishing vision, setting clear goals, strategic initiatives, and aligning teams and roles towards achieving these goals.  
  • Strong ability to model using excel, building business cases, plan forecasting, analysis, and simplifying complex data sets.
