Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):

Spry Methods is searching for an Accounting Intern to join our team in McLean, VA. 

• Must have basic accounting knowledge
• Must have the ability to pay attention to detail
• Get trained in accounting job duties to start with the accounts payable function
• Receive, code, enter, and route for approval of all vendor invoices.
• Review employee expense reports for compliance with policies including JTR Compliance, proper receipts, documentation, and manager signature approval.
• Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounting department.
• Willing to learn and assist with other areas of accounting function as needed. 
• Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
• Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
• Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.
• Potential opportunity of intern position changed to a full-time position based on department's need.

• Current student actively working towards a Bachelors Degree in Accounting 
• Eligibility for a Security Clearance 
• Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
• Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
