Our client is an innovative company in the AI space. They work with high-profile individuals such as celebrities, athletes, and influencers whose image and likeness are their most valuable assets. In an era where deepfakes and unauthorized AI-generated content are prevalent, these individuals are curious, confused, and interested in how to protect and control their digital presence.

Our client's mission is to build a platform that helps these individuals monitor their image and likeness online, especially in AI generative use cases. They facilitate takedowns and authorizations of their image for advertising and consumer apps. They partner with technology providers like OpenAI to create a technology-agnostic solution.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a strong Senior Software Engineer to help build the first version of their product. This role will focus on developing a solution for scraping major social media platforms, ingesting content, integrating classifiers, and rendering content for human review and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of the initial product, including scraping social media platforms.
Build and maintain systems for content ingestion, storage, parsing, and interface rendering.
Implement account creation and management functionalities, possibly using Clerk.com
Develop administrative workflows and user experiences.
Collaborate with third-party providers for content scraping and classification.
Pull relevant content for takedown workflows and facilitate their execution.
Work closely with the interim CTO and other engineers to drive the project to completion.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Proactively identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
Contribute to the development of best practices and processes within the engineering team.

Requirements

7 to 10 years of software engineering experience at reputable companies.
Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
Experience with web scraping and content ingestion from platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X.
Strong skills in designing and architecting moderately complex systems.
Ability to drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Proven track record of providing technical leadership and mentorship.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
