Overview
Morning Brew is looking for a UI/UX Designer to join the Creative Studio, ideating and building engaging and visually impactful digital experiences for our brand partners. Reporting to the Creative Studio Art Director, you will work across client categories and collaborate with the pre and post sale teams. You should think user-first, have a bold design perspective, and always look for the best approach to tell a story. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well with critical feedback, and understand the media and branded content landscape.
Morning Brew is based in New York City but this role is remote-friendly for all candidates.
What you’ll do:
- Create beautiful, compelling, and innovative web-first experiences for branded content
- Design and build UI/UX for site-first branded content such as articles, content hubs, interactives, and more
- Follow user-centered design principles to produce high-quality visuals from concept to execution that align with the Morning Brew voice and client objectives.
- Create, produce, and present mockups, storyboards, wireframes, sitemaps, user flows, and prototypes of potential experiences
- Collaborate with Art Director and other designers to establish style guides, templates, and design systems
- Develop the visual identity of projects in pre-sale and be able to clearly communicate it in written and verbal form, including client meetings
- Manage deadlines for all pre and post-sale campaigns and work with Project Management through every step of the process.
- Collect and interpret user research to inform the design process
- Foster relationships across teams and departments
What makes you qualified:
- 3+ years experience working at a publisher, brand, or agency
- Experience with branded content across all visual mediums
- Working knowledge of responsive design and grid principles
- Direct experience designing in and implementing Ceros experiences
- Expertise in brainstorming and collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple projects while having attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex design concepts in easy to understand verbal and written formats
- A proactive, solution-orientated outlook
- Extensive knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML/CSS, Sketch, XD, Figma
- Working knowledge of React JS, Google Optimize, After Effects, Google Slides
- Bonus for experience working building Ceros experiences
- Clear understanding of common workflows for website design from start to finish
- Highly creative and passionate about telling stories through design
