Position: Senior Data Warehouse Engineer
Location:: Remote/ Hybrid two days a week if you reside within 30 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX area

Salary: Starting at $130k DOE
Responsibilities:
Become a trusted part of NAF's technical leadership.
Be accountable for all aspects of the team’s data pipelines as a hands-on technical leader.
Provide technical expertise and hands-on support in the consolidation and migration of databases to new environments and platforms.
Document database designs, data models, metadata, ETL specifications, and process flows.
Monitor, maintain, and optimize production systems.
Perform code reviews to ensure code is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for performance.
Successfully manage time between coding, design, and architecture.
Influence planning strategies and bring industry context to technical decisions.
Have a full understanding of the mortgage business processes and know-how systems that support each process as well as an understanding of the software used throughout the organization.
Exemplary performance in architecture, efficiency, stability, extensibility, maintainability, and growth.
Lead conversations to remove blockers and encourage collaboration between teams.
Keep engineering teams up to date on advanced architecture and technology trends.
Ensures that OKR-level goals are aligned with the business’s goals.
Drive engineering excellence as a role model.
Qualifications:
5+ years of Database Engineer experience with Snowflake (on Azure Cloud Preferred).
5+ years of hands-on experience using Python and Airflow.
Solid and working knowledge of FiveTran or other no-code ETL tools.
Strong knowledge of SQL-based databases.
Experience with data streaming tools and real-time data technology
Ability to investigate complex issues across multiple systems.
Excellent knowledge of application security in transit and at rest.
Manages time to focus on priorities across multiple projects.
Ability to build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Desired Education/Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, computer science, or a related engineering field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Snowflake Certification is preferred
Excellent presentation, time management, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience with working in highly motivated Agile Teams.
Experience mentoring engineers.
Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
