Sr. (Lead) Cloud Specialist I (II)

Flexible Work Arrangements: Hybrid

This position will assist PJM in designing a public cloud architecture as part of an ordered transformation of on premise workloads to leverage cloud computing resources.
The successful Cloud Specialist candidate will be directly responsible for:

Implementing secure shared cloud services such as CI/CD and data pipelines and leveraging IaC tools such as Terraform or ArgoCD to automatically build out and maintain cloud infrastructure and services.
Designing and implementing cloud services and cloud-based solutions (SaaS & PaaS) in a reliable, secure and simple manner
Leading the development of policies, process, procedures, patterns required for operating and maintaining workloads in the cloud

The Cloud Specialist is also responsible for working with business units on implementations of future functionality that would leverage cloud computing resources.

This position may be eligible for flexible work arrangements. Please consult with your manager to confirm options for flexibility. Business needs and/or on-call responsibilities may require you to report to campus.

Essential Functions:

Ability to work with internal customers to orchestrate application workloads in a public cloud
Leverage cloud-native technologies to support cloud migration efforts
Provide ongoing support for application runtimes in PaaS implementations
Ability to design and implement simple, secure and reliable cloud-based solutions
Ability to work with internal customers to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions that meet PJM’s security standards and policies
Provide technology leadership for cloud migration efforts

Characteristics & Qualifications:
Required:

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security or equivalent work experience
0-5 years of experience Implementing application workloads in public cloud
0-5 years of experience Architecting solutions in public cloud platforms
0-5 years of experience Day-to-day management of cloud implementations
Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
Experience using verbal and written communications skills

Preferred:

BS degree in Computer Science or Cyber Security
At least 5 years of experience Hands on experience working with Azure cloud platform Hands on experience implementing PaaS solutions in Azure cloud
At least 5 years of experience Experience working in an agile, fast paced environment Experience with making progress without a complete picture of the end state
Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
Experience supporting any of PJM Committees
