Job Overview:

Willow is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team! This role will report to the Controller and is flexible for remote work or working at our HQ in Mountain View, CA. This is a dynamic, high-touch role in our team that is responsible for many areas of accounting and reporting in our growing company.

Roles & Responsibilities | What you'll do:

  • The Senior Accountant will be a key contributor to the monthly financial close process, specializing in journal entries, account reconciliations and analyses with efficiency and accuracy
  • Contribute to month-end close process to ensure timely, accurate financial data that is in compliance with US GAAP and accounting policies
  • Accurately prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, summarize activity and resolve reconciling differences; areas of focus include cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued expenses, debt and equity
  • Record bank activity and prepare bank reconciliations
  • Perform trend and variance analysis
  • Liaise with cross-functional colleagues to communicate financial results by department
  • Recommend and implement improvements to existing systems and processes
  • Process check, ACH, and wire disbursements
  • Maintain new vendor setup, update vendor list and electronic payment information
  • Assist with preparation of audit schedules and respond to questions posed by auditors
  • Assist with other ad hoc general ledger projects

Experience | What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years working experience within U.S. generally accepted accounting principles and familiarity with internal controls and process improvement
  • Strong systems skills including Excel and ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus)
  • Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Strong work ethic and capacity to accomplish tasks independently
  • Superb oral and written communication skills
  • Experience successfully working in a highly collaborative manner across a variety of business functions
  • Active CPA preferred
  • Mix of Big 4 public accounting and private industry accounting preferred

Additional Information
Willow takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on the successful candidate's location, job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. We regularly review and update our pay ranges and therefore, these ranges may be modified in the future.

Bay Area, Seattle Area : $88,000-$152,000
All Other US Locations: $65,000-$105,000
