The Sr. Compliance Analyst on the Compliance North America team provides Compliance support to the various Repsol businesses in the US and Canada as described below. The subject matter scope for the role includes those topics covered in Repsol's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, with a particular focus on compliance risks related to Anti-bribery, Sanctions and Export Controls, Data Privacy, Gifts & Entertainment, Conflicts of Interest, Anti-money Laundering, and Third Party Risk Management. This position offers the opportunity to have a hybrid work schedule with up to 3 days per week remote work available.
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the assessment of information technology solutions to automate existing variety of compliance-related activities including due diligence, conflicts of interest, and gifts and entertainment and assisting with the selection, configuration and roll-out of new systems.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports related to North America Compliance activities; maintain accurate information related to completion rates on action items to share with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage key program elements such as conflicts of interest disclosures, third party screening and onboarding and training.
  • Assist with ensuring that procedures, guidance, and standards are developed, implemented, maintained, and updated in accordance with the development of local requirements and best practices.
  • Review and distribute any enhancements made to Compliance policies and procedures, coordinating with Internal Communications on the distribution and publication of these materials.
  • Coordinate training and onboarding records with P&O to ensure accuracy and completeness; maintain training completion data.
  • Develop and distribute periodic targeted Compliance communications to contribute to Repsol’s culture of compliance.
  • Assist with internal investigations, including by collecting and organizing data and documents and preparing for employee interviews.
  • Collaborate with Compliance colleagues as well as other corporate functions (e.g., Internal Audit, IT, P&O) and members of Legal Services to implement compliance initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Degree: B.A. or B.S. required; international equivalents will be considered.
  • Prefer 5+ years of relevant experience in a Compliance role.
  • Experience leading IT projects and/or system implementations preferred. Complex project management experience including planning, milestone tracking, and execution while working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to simultaneously prioritize multiple projects and programs.
  • Impeccable judgment and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills; ability to work with other internal stakeholders and drive projects to successful conclusion with minimal oversight.
  • Strong research, analytical, and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills. Spanish fluency preferred.
  • Requires fluency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Forms, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP, Ariba, Concur a plus.
