What You’ll Do

At Appfolio, our goal is to keep our ecosystem and accounts safe, provide customers uninterrupted access to their payment capabilities, and minimize the company’s risk exposure and fraud loss. As a Sr. Credit Analyst on the Payments team at Appfolio, you will provide independent and objective underwriting decisions on Appfolio Payments applicants during the underwriting process. You will become a member of a dynamic team responsible for assessing and overseeing the credit risk profile of new and existing Appfolio customers. You will lead the review of prospective clients applying in-depth credit and financial analysis knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and overall corporate operations practice. You will use advanced knowledge and judgment to complete more complex credit decisions by performing analysis of credit reports, financials, tax returns and other similar documentation. It will be your responsibility to verify applicant’s information and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency with required standards. You will take ownership of results and will work continuously to improve the overall underwriting process. You will have a solid understanding of the payment processing industry including fraud, credit, and regulatory issues.

Must-Haves

• BS or higher in a related field; or equivalent professional experience
• SQL, Excel and Tableau skills are a plus.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a credit risk analytics role
• Experience with KYC/CDD tools
• Experience in the Payments industry preferred
• Working knowledge of Salesforce.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary/hourly wage that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $70,000 - $105,000.

The actual base salary/hourly wage for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.

Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
