Education: Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering
Experience: 5-8 years’ experience in Part Tool Design
Description:
- Design of Machining fixtures
- Machining fixture using Bud lock
- Machining fixture using Vacuum
- Design of Manufacturing tools for Sheet Metal components
- Form Blocks
- Routing Fixture
- Bonding Template
- Checking Templates
- Joggling Tools
- Bonding fixtures
- Drill jigs
- Vacuum fixtures
- Design of Turning fixtures
- Turn-mill
- Vacuum fixtures
- Fixture for special processes
- Manufacturing process selection
- Selection of material and bought out items
- Resolve the quality issues
- Tool prove out / First Article Inspection (FAI)
- Knowledge of industry standards, i.e ASME Y14.5, and customer, preferably Boeing, requirements.
- Responsible for the implementation of tooling, from original concept through to production
Preferred:
- Experience in Part tool design, CATIA V5, UG-NX, Solid works
- Accountable for tooling development, tool fabrication quotes, tooling configuration changes that involve cost estimation, schedule coordination, and implementation with tooling supplier (including writing Statement of Work (SOW), etc)
