Sr. Engineer – Tooling Support

Title: Sr. Engineer – Tooling Support

Location: Orangeburg, South Carolina

Duration: Full Time / Permanent Employment

Education: Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering

Experience: 5-8 years’ experience in Part Tool Design

• Design of Machining fixtures

• Design of Manufacturing tools for Sheet Metal components

• Composite Tool Design

• Design of Turning fixtures

• Manufacturing process selection

• Selection of material and bought out items

• Resolve the quality issues

• Tool prove out / First Article Inspection (FAI)

• Knowledge of industry standards, i.e ASME Y14.5, and customer, preferably Boeing, requirements.

• Responsible for the implementation of tooling, from original concept through to production

Preferred:

• Experience in Part tool design, CATIA V5, UG-NX, Solid works

• Accountable for tooling development, tool fabrication quotes, tooling configuration changes that involve cost estimation, schedule coordination, and implementation with tooling supplier (including writing Statement of Work (SOW), etc)
