This position is designated as Hybrid - Fully Flexible and expected to work from our World Headquarters office once per month to several times a week (at manager’s discretion). Rotary is under the jurisdiction of Illinois employment laws; we require all employees to live within reasonable daily commuting distance to Evanston.

General Overview
This position supports the Financial Systems and Process team, responsible for working with our Rotary International business partners in the areas of root cause analysis of system issues, process improvement, general application training, report design and development, and exploring, testing and advising in regard to new system functionality so they can take full advantage of financials applications. You will have the opportunity to act as a business system analyst, system configurer and a key support to the user community, especially members of the finance team. They must have a solid understanding of each functional area they support, as well as a deep understanding of the systems used and a fundamental knowledge of system logic. They must be self-motivated, critical analytical thinkers who can help lead teams to achieve positive outcomes. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization.. Your contribution will serve to Identify and address current and future business needs.
You Will Have
  • At least 5 years’ previous experience as a business analyst with exposure to basic financial concepts and accounting principles.
  • Strong Customer Service skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relational databases and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud).
  • Ability to create reports from requirements gathered using various report writing apps, such as: BI Publisher, Oracle SmartView, Business Intelligence and EBS.
  • Ability to gain and retain an intimate knowledge of the various internal business processes and to understand the integration between various systems in use.
  • Ability to create documentation for both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Previous Project Management experience required.
  • Demonstrated willingness to share ideas and information.
  • Interest in continuous improvement and learning.
  • Previous exposure to the various financial business processes (AR, AP, GL, PO, etc).
  • 3 years’ experience in report writing using Business Intelligence and BI Publishing.
  • Accounting degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience with global multiple location systems preferred.
  • Configuration experience in a large ERP solution.
  • Previous Project Team management experience.

You Will Be Responsible For
  • Manage FSPS Team in the absence of the FSPS Manager.
  • Approve vetted security requests and impacts to licensing agreements in absence of FSPS Manager.
  • Build and maintain work relationships within and outside the team to aid in collaboration.
  • Consult with users across the entire organization to help identify opportunities for business process improvements and to initiate process improvements based on business needs.
  • Using interviews, define and document requirements. Once complete, collaborate with the Development Team to determine solutions. Discuss solution proposals with stakeholders.
  • Maintain master data for all financial application systems.
  • Maintain configuration documentation and create/modify documentation when new functionality is introduced, including the creation of process flow diagrams.
  • Assist with project planning, user acceptance testing plans, and other documentation preparation when new functionality is implemented.
  • Assist in training of staff on basic system functionally.
  • Assist in creation of training materials.
  • Initiate and implement process and system configuration changes that meet business objectives and adhere to management best practices.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve all requests for support that originate from internal and external customers of the Financial Management System; work with the various product teams to analyze issues, propose solutions, and submit issues to Oracle as needed.
  • Review, recommend security profile requests.
  • Ensure the quality of all deliverables for assigned tasks.
  • Communicate progress, issues and blockers to division and department managers as necessary.
  • Participate and provide subject matter expertise in cross departmental upgrades, enterprise projects and implementations across systems.
  • Review and disseminate quarterly Oracle Cloud release notes, identify test scenarios, provide ‘first round’ testing, coordinate testing across the various business process teams, and update documentation as needed.
  • Encourage and participate in knowledge transfer workshops within the team.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
