AppLovin's games are released worldwide and translated in multiple languages. We are looking for a talented and passionate Localization Specialist to join our Localization team, where you will collaborate with our project managers, third-party language providers, and other studios stakeholders, to create a seamless and positive experience for our players around the world.
- Create and manage processes that require participation from cross functional stakeholder such as development, marketing, legal, and engineering
- Identify need and feasibility to LQA based on Design requests and translation deliveries.
- Create test plans and coordinate testing with our external partners for multiple products at once and provide support
- Ensure high quality work and performance by assessing, training and coaching external partners using established techniques and approaches
- Manage and track issues (ticket creation, vetting, assignment, and tracking)
- Author changes to the bug reporting and the translation workflows
- Attend leads meetings as a primary loc rep. Represent Localization at general team meetings and move discussion forward.
- Lead and moderate internal department meetings and external partner meetings
- Act as the primary localization point of contact to the game teams
- Raise concerns to stakeholders, negotiate solutions, and represent the Localization department in product issue investigations
- Assemble documentation about in-game content
- Generate localization reports by aggregating data
- Perform internal TM maintenance on a weekly basis and make filter adjustments
- Manage handoffs to and deliveries from external partners
- Recommend automation opportunities and coordinate with stakeholders
- 4+ years of Localization experience
- Experience testing mobile games on iOS and Android a plus
- Experience within the gaming industry a must
- Experience with a text management system
- Knowledge of Jira or experience with issue tracking/project management tools a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Excellent attention to detail, with an ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A focused and proactive approach towards Localization with the ability to work under pressure
- Innovative, proactive, adaptable, and resilient
- Passion for games and cutting-edge technology!
- Professional training in Localization, Software Development, or Project Management
- Knowledge of one or more additional languages a plus
