In line with TR Americas strategy and GTR Finance guidelines, the Sr. Manager, Finance & Operations - Travel Retail Americas acts as a business partner and manages, with a team of 2, the business controlling, the financial reporting, the operations follow up and the internal control in order to enhance TR Americas performance.

Key Accountabilities

Business Partner

  • In line with global Travel Retail Strategy, and MH/GTR financial framework and guidelines, act as business partner to the MD TR Americas, advise, support financial decisions and provide strategic insights to improve the business performance
  • In line with global Travel Retail Strategy, and MH/GTR financial framework and guidelines, support financial & business decisions with the TR Americas sales and marketing teams to improve business performance
  • Support building of strategic long term & retail growth plans
  • Set up, streamline and rationalize existing internal processes, implement new processes and develop analysis needed for TR Americas expansion.

Business Controlling

  • Provide the management with clear understanding of the business, through dashboards & scorecards
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for actions about sell in and sell out
  • Develops & provides thorough analysis of retail stores' performance
  • Challenge and follow the A&P investments
  • Drive profitability, product allocations and mix optimization
  • Ensure a relevant Credit Management in line with MHUSA DSO guidelines

Financial Reporting

  • Own volumes, net sales and MOP reporting to GTR and MH on a monthly basis for actuals
  • Lead the Budget and its revisions for the region: Establish the calendar. Provide guidance and support to the markets. Challenge budget assumptions. Follow-up of adjustments requested by the Global team.
  • Drive the Risk & Opportunity and landing processes
  • Owns CAPEX submission and follow up process
  • Ensure quality, integrity and timely availability of financial information


Profile

Operations

  • Drive the end to end planning cycle so product forecast supports business and financial plans and ultimately maximizes sales and inventory
  • Ensure the on time, in full delivery of products in the TR Americas Warehouses
  • Daily liaison with local warehouse to optimize order flow & inventory level based on business needs
  • Liaise with Maisons and MHUSA on supply issues/challenges and warehouse management
  • Follow up and challenge of Sales teams’ requests
  • Responsible for accurate APO reporting to MHUSA on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for monthly BE reporting

Internal Control

  • Guarantee compliance and integrity across the Region
  • Lead ERICA processes for TR Americas
  • Ensure audit high performance and guarantee resolution of audit challenges

Direct and Transversal Management

  • Directly manage 2 teams members (1 permanent & 1 VIE/part time) : define their objectives, ensure their development and assesses their performance
  • Build strong and trustful relationships with GTR finance teams in other regions and at global level
  • Build relevant relationships and specific knowledge with domestic Markets (finance community and broader)

Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required

EDUCATION

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Majors or post-grad qualification in Finance or related subjects a plus

LANGUAGE

  • Fluency in English. French & Spanish a plus

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & KNOW HOW

  • Minimum 5-8 years' experience in Finance; successful Management Accounting positions with solid financial analysis background
  • Strong knowledge of finance & accounting principles combined with good commercial acumen
  • International mindset
  • Leadership in complex cross-functional environments & Team Management

TECHNICAL & MANAGEMENT SKILLS

  • Strong analytical skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Action and result oriented, driving for improved performance
  • Good organization & planning
  • IT (SAP, Hyperion-Essbase, Cognos, PowerBI, MS Office, Concur Invoice)
