Sr. Project Manager, Publishing Operations

Zynga is looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Project Manager to drive important, company-wide initiatives as part of our world-class central publishing organization. Our Publishing Operations team collaborates with all functions across Zynga including global game studios, central tech and service teams, and company leadership. Our projects include coordinating new game development and launches, performance-tracking and reporting for all live operated titles, leading platform and legal compliance, and driving new strategic efforts.

We’re looking for an organized, confident, and clear communicator who can act as a coordinator for projects that bridge Zynga’s many functions. Your job will include uncovering requirements, aligning stakeholders, defining dependencies and timelines, and driving these initiatives from ambiguity to successful completion. You should have a solid understanding of mobile game development and live operations, love collaborating, and approach new challenges with curiosity and drive.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional projects start to finish, from identifying requirements and dependencies, to generating concrete plans and driving them to timely completion.
  • Drive process improvements, aiming to minimize disruption to game team roadmaps when external requirements develop or change. Take an active role in ensuring risks are surfaced and addressed.
  • Act as producer/project manager on Publishing Operations efforts in support of the company’s strategic and operational interests.
  • Communicate game and project updates through regular reports and internal tools. Generate updates and presentations for executive staff. Actively improve these communications and processes.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years production or project management experience with a high-profile game studio or well-known franchise.
  • Firm grasp of all aspects of mobile game development, including production stages, processes, and disciplines involved. Experience working closely with mobile game teams and central support teams (Legal, Operations, Analytics, etc).
  • Clear and confident communicator. Able to lead projects, establish teams, and generate clear presentations that summarize projects, share knowledge, and drive improvements.
  • A positive bridge-builder who is able to cultivate relationships and work collaboratively across business units/functions.
  • Anticipates risk and resolves problems before they develop.
  • Highly organized. Able to track and maintain large volumes of studio documentation for archival and retrieval purposes.
  • Ability to work independently and get results without significant supervisor involvement.
  • Confidentiality and integrity in dealing with highly sensitive information.
  • Experience with legal initiatives a plus.
  • Anticipate challenges and course-correct on the fly as needed.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $105,000 and $136,000 per year.

The pay range for this position in New York City at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000 and $136,000 per year.

This is a fully remote role that may be based anywhere in the United States. The pay range for this position for applicants based in Colorado at the start of employment is expected to be between $82,000 and $122,000 per year.

However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
