About the Position: Sr. Software Engineer (ZFS/Storage) – San Jose, CA or REMOTE USA

ZEDEDA open source developers are making new things possible. You will join a growing global team, work with the latest technologies and collaborate with other Zededa open source developers, open-source developer communities, and commercial vendors to develop EVE-OS - Zero Limits, Zero Trust, Zero Touch operating system for the Edge Computing - an integral part of Zededa orchestration solution providing Visibility, Control, and Security for the Distributed Edge.

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in developing enterprise/cloud storage software systems, especially block, file or object storage.
5+ years of experience in developing and/or deep understanding of various storage management features like snapshots, cloning, compression, deduplication, etc.
Good understanding of at least one subsystem of Linux
Proficiency in programming languages like C, golang
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, shell scripting.
Understanding of microservices architecture
Any prior experience in the development of ZFS/ZVOL or using ZFS/ZVOL in any of your projects is a huge plus.
Experience in various I/O path testing tools like fio, vdbench, etc.
Experience in working on open source projects is a big plus
Nice to Have:
Experience in hypervisor code (XEN, KVM, etc)
Experience with go testing
Ability to write clean Godoc comments
Knowledge of protocol buffers
Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, Github actions)
