Plus is looking for a Senior systems engineer or system engineering manager specializing in ADAS/AV applications. As a senior systems engineer, you will directly influencing how to bring state of art systems engineering practices and methodologies for our ADAS/ AV system with the aim of higher levels of autonomy with robustness and industry leading safety at its core. The systems engineer needs to have the ability to jump between abstraction levels and embrace both top-down and bottom-up approaches in product development. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing customer requirements, use cases and developing feature, system and sub-system level requirements and functions as necessary. You will conduct various requirement analysis, evaluating the design robustness across the defined operating scenarios and conditions that our trucks can encounter. Additionally, this role interacts with various engineering teams to maintain interfaces and refine requirements for systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop system level requirements from customer and regulatory requirements
  • Decompose use cases, high level functions and behaviors into low level functions and requirements that specifies expected end to end behaviors
  • Develop functional architecture by working closely with the SW team to identify gaps in development to satisfy requirements
  • Execute systems engineering practices that can be utilized across the company to guide product development
  • Lead analysis like FMEA, STPA, FTA for different features and sub-system such as perception, planning, mapping & localization and controls to identify failure modes (FuSa) and performance limitation (SOTIF)
  • Work closely with Software team, V & V team, partners and OEMS to deliver the product with best in class quality in a timely manner
  • Come up with metrics and acceptance criteria to gate releases
  • Collaborate with partners to integrate Plus’ solution into vehicle platforms
  • Organize vehicle commissioning, performance evaluation, and fleet issue resolution
  • Use requirements management tools to produce concept deliverables with OEMs, partners and customers

Required Skills:

  • Degree in ME, EE, Mechatronics or related field.
  • 3+ years of related industry experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of automotive safety standards (ISO 26262, SOTIF etc)
  • Proficiency in JAMA, or similar tool, for requirements management
  • Experience with AV sub-system such as perception, planning, mapping & localization and controls and/or vehicle level control software for powertrain, battery, chassis, etc.
  • Experience with vehicle level control software for powertrain, battery, chassis, etc.
  • Knowledge of vehicle communication networks/protocols
  • Experience specifying, organizing and conducting vehicle test and validation

Annual Salary: $125,000 - $155,000
