The Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is one of 17 United States Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratories. Located at the DOE's Savannah River Site (SRS) near Aiken, S.C., the laboratory applies state-of-the-art science to provide practical, high-value, cost-effective solutions to complex technical problems.
SRNL, a multi-program national laboratory, is a leading research and development institution for the Offices of Environmental Management and Legacy Management at the U.S. Department of Energy and the Weapons and Nonproliferation programs for the National Nuclear Security Administration.
Managed and operated by Battelle Savannah River Alliance (BSRA), a non-profit limited liability company, or LLC, which best facilitates our operations as an independent Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC).
The BSRA university partners include the University of South Carolina, Clemson University, South Carolina State University, Georgia Tech, the University of Georgia.
What You'll Do in This Position
We are seeking an entry level E&I mechanic to perform the installation, inspection, calibration, maintenance, and repair of moderately complex equipment, which employ pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, chemical, optical, electronic, or electrical principles of operation.
Security Clearance Information
BSRA is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with BSRA may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require
High school diploma or equivalency with 2-3 years of experience under supervision of a journeyman electrician.
Work Keys are required, must be within the last 5 years and MUST BE ATTACHED in order to be considered for the position. Required Work Keys:

Other Qualifications
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
Qualifications We Desire
Associate's degree in related field or vocational certification, education, and 1 years of experience in commercial, or industrial electrical and instrumentation preferred.
