Job Title: Buyer IIOur client is seeking a seasoned Buyer II to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the procurement of materials, services, and product requirements for various programs. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our client’s business and requires a professional with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Key Responsibilities• Oversee the procurement process for materials, services, and product requirements across multiple programs, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.• Collaborate closely with program leads to identify long lead materials, ensuring timely procurement and minimizing potential delays.• Work in conjunction with sourcing and program teams to select suppliers for bidding and awarding from the approved list, ensuring the best quality and value for our client.• Manage orders with suppliers, monitor backlog and daily order status, and adjust schedules as needed to meet program requirements.• Resolve discrepancies related to purchasing, delivery, receiving, and payment to the supplier, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining strong supplier relationships.• Expedite materials for shortage management and coordinate returns to vendors for discrepant materials, ensuring minimal disruption to our client’s operations.Required Skills And Qualifications• A minimum of 5 years of experience in tactical level purchasing, demonstrating a strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field, demonstrating a solid academic foundation in relevant areas.• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment, managing multiple tasks with efficiency and accuracy.• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Windows programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), demonstrating strong technical skills.• The ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and independently, demonstrating strong collaboration and self-management skills.• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional organizational and analytical abilities, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively and make data-driven decisions.About SSi PeopleWith over 25 years of industry experience, SSi People has built its reputation and expertise on putting people first.
