Staff Accountant Intern

Overview:

Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for an Accounts Payable Intern to join the corporate Business and Accounting team in our Raleigh, NC office during fall 2023.

College juniors or seniors with an interest in accounting, business, or finance are encouraged to apply.

This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities:

Complete bank reconciliations
Review general ledger for accuracy, appropriate approvals, valid sales and use tax, and correct general ledger coding
Assist with internal audits
Assist with filing sales and use tax
Research and otherwise assist with ad-hoc special projects

Qualifications:

Must be in the process of completing an AA, BS or MS degree in Accounting or a relevant field
Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
High degree of professionalism and strong people skills
Effective communication skills
Excellent team player
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a deadline driven environment
