The Position
Alene Candles is searching for an enthusiastic and hard-working financial professional to join our growing Finance department. Alene Candles is a multi-site, medium-sized manufacturing services company in the home, beauty and fragrance industry. The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Lead Senior Staff Accountant and is responsible for assisting with the accuracy, timeliness, and completion of the accounting records in the ERP system. Under the supervision of the Lead Senior Staff Accountant, you will prepare and maintain account reconciliations, general ledger journal entries, account analyses, and other areas assigned, which will challenge the candidate to grow within the organization. You will autonomously support the Lead Senior Staff Accountant in the timely and accurate closing of the month-end general ledger, including the preparation of workpapers which analytically support accounts and the monthly roll-forwards of assets and liabilities.
We are located at 1 Bon Terrain Drive, Amherst, NH. This is a hybrid role with the ability to work from home as determined between the supervisor and employee.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance along with 1-2 years of experience in accounting. CPA is NOT required. You should have experience working with an ERP system such as Sage, Oracle, SAP, etc. Alene Candles uses IFS ERP, so experience with IFS is a plus. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, public accounting exposure, and advanced knowledge of Excel (XLookups, VLookups, HLookups, SumIfs, Pivot Tables, CountIf, Concat, etc.).
