The Wireless Development Quality Assurance Engineer works within the R&D team to ensure the productivity, reliability and accuracy of the Fortinet's WLAN product lines. They review requirements and specifications, create manual and automation test environments, write python test scripts that effectively evaluate the WLAN applications, protocols, platforms and solutions. The QA engineer must be able to work efficiently and effectively, in a fast-paced work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build-up manual and automation tested based on need, enhance QA automation infrastructure
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and functional test cases based on function specs
- Create/enhance QA automation infrastructure, build end-to-end environments
- Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
- Automate test cases using Python, maintain automation infrastructure and trouble shoot failures.
- Execute test cases, analyze and report test results to product teams
- Debug to analyze defect’s root cause, optimize test cases and test scripts as needed
- Collaborate closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve issues
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience in Python test automation.
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience in networking and/or WiFi
- Highly responsible, self-disciplined, adept to fast paced and results-oriented environment.
- Capable of creating efficient automation test environment and testbed setup.
- Good understanding of Quality Assurance processes, documenting failure scenarios, isolating and troubleshooting issues
- Proficient in Python a must
- Experience working with Linux, UNIX and Windows Operating Systems
- Experience of test automation in Networking/Wi-Fi technologies 11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/6e
- Experience with wireless test tools & Analyzers such as Ixia Veriwave, Chariot, Omnipeek, AirPcap is a plus
Education Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science (or equivalent), an advanced degree is a plus
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120000-$165000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.
Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion.
