Team Overview:

The Collectibles Marketplace team’s vision is to build a large, thriving economy on Reddit that benefits millions of Creators and Community Builders (a “Creator and Community Economy”). When Creators and Community Builders can be financially rewarded for their goods & services, it leads to better communities and adds more value to every participant. We see the blockchain as a key unlock for digital goods that can be used across the span of the internet, and not limited to just one platform. 

The first digital good that we have launched on the blockchain is “Collectible Avatars”, which has already been adopted by millions of Redditors. Creators now have the ability to create and sell Collectible Avatars on Reddit’s brand-new Marketplace. This is our first step in allowing Creators and Community Builders to be financially rewarded on Reddit; there are many more products and services to come!

Role Description:

We are hiring a Staff Product Manager to lead the Supply Side of the Marketplace team. You will be responsible for building scalable systems that support thousands of Creators creating and selling. This means creating systems to onboard Creators, submit goods, review goods with internal teams, and ultimately launch goods into the Marketplace.

A key to success in this role is being able to build systems that cater to a wide variety of customers: Creators and internal Reddit team members (Creative, Legal, Policy, Engineering). These systems must work at scale - thousands of Creators will submit goods, and they must be processed and vetted for Legal / Policy compliance. The systems must also be efficient, i.e. Creators should be able to submit and get feedback in a timely manner. 

In this role, you will be entrusted to handle complex product launches end-to-end. There is scope to grow a team under you as the Marketplace grows in adoption and engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the strategy and roadmap for Supply on Reddit, and earn buy-in from executive leadership as well as the team
• Collaborate with engineering and design to launch Creator and Community Builder tools & services, that accelerates our ability to bring digital goods into the Marketplace
• Seek to understand the industry landscape and maintain global awareness of Creator Economy experiences, Buyer experiences and Seller experiences for blockchain / digital goods sales
• Partner with various cross-functional teams (Community, Communications, Legal, Policy, etc.) to create alignment and launch products together

Required Experience: 

• 4+ years of consumer product management experience
• Fluency with using Data - tactical (e.g. A/B testing) and strategic (e.g. feature level estimations, sizing) to inform crisp decisions
• A passion for staying up to speed on competitive products and drawing meaningful insights
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is: $198,200 - $297,300
