Spirent SecurityLabs is a dedicated team of experienced security professionals providing comprehensive scanning, penetration testing, and monitoring services for networks, wireless, websites, mobile applications, embedded devices, as well as source code analysis for our clients.

The Spirent SecurityLabs team is looking for a full-time Security Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering our services to our clients at the highest quality standard, delivering comprehensive reports, and providing remediation guidance. You will provide thought leadership by publishing white papers, blogging, or conducting webinars

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering required from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience. A Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is a plus.
  • Minimum 2+ years of overall experience working in Network and Device security testing.
  • Must have a strong foundation of penetration testing knowledge and practices with the ability to perform thorough assessments while following a project's rules of engagement and SecurityLabs' internal policies to minimize risks to the client and its customers.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of hardware components, network protocols, and protection mechanisms.
  • Familiar with Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and security assessment-focused Linux distributions, such as Kali.
  • Familiar with soldering / desoldering hardware components and extraction of embedded device flash chips.
  • Familiar with firmware extraction, firmware reverse engineering, analysis, and identification of security vulnerabilities.
  • Familiar with programming languages like python and working with embedded systems like raspberry pi.
  • Experience with using hardware hacking tools such as Jtagulator, facedancer, hackRF, etc.
  • Comfortable working in Windows and Linux server operating systems.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Desire to learn and grow skills.
Annualized Salary Wage Range: $168,795.00 - $202,712.57
Spirent applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience at or in line with the minimum requirements.
