The Connected Experience Team is responsible for creating experiences that can help customers establish network connections within the BILL network and get benefits out of them. The team provides hosted solutions to automate network connections and the syncing of transactions and entries between Connected AP/AR organizations, resulting in faster money movement and removing manual processes. Our mission is to improve the financial operations of small merchant businesses and wow our customers with simplicity.

In this role, you will:

Design and develop product features using Angular, GraphQL, Java and other modern web technologies.
Cross team collaboration to create innovative solutions for our customers and understand technical requirements as well as performance, quality, accessibility and security concerns
Write unit tests and automation tests to ensure the quality of code and the product.
Be able to guide and mentor junior members of the team based on your strong technical expertise.

Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience will be considered
5+ years of development experience as a Frontend developer
Experience with JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, Angular or React, NodeJS, GraphQL, Apollo Client, React Testing Library, etc.
Experience with Jest, Karma, Cypress, Cucumber, and any Design system is a huge plus.
Experience with dev tools like - Splunk, Datadog, Mixpanel, LaunchDarkly, LogRocket, etc.
Knowledge of build systems for SPA - webpack, ES6 transpilers, CSS frameworks.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and the ability to gain alignment across cross-functional boundaries
Ability to challenge the norm and maturity to advocate for changes for the greater benefit of the business
A passion for staying updated with the latest technologies and a drive for continuous learning and improvement
Product: passion for great products and building great experiences, proven ability to take the product through all stages of development, from concept to launch at scale

Nice to have:

Experience with Java
AWS Cloud Architecture and Severless Development experience
Prior experience with building microservices and deploying in the cloud
Experience in payment industry

This role is based in California.

The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in San Jose, CA. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

San Jose pay range

$167,300—$200,800 USD
