Staffing Coordinator (Nursing Home)

Job Description:

The Staffing Coordinator for Nursing Services will be responsible for the design and implementation of staffing patterns for professional and nonprofessional nursing employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes staffing patterns and schedules for nurses and nursing assistant
  • Interprets human resource policies for nursing staff and participates in in-service training, works with the DON to schedule training classes.
  • Works with human resources to advise them of staffing needs, terminations, and other information necessary for the smooth flow of work regarding employees.
  • Assists in securing staff for absences, leaves, etc., adjusting schedules as required.
  • Maintains records on vacations, sick leave, leaves of absence, holidays, excused and unexcused absences, and recommends appropriate action
  • Assists in administering the uniform policy for the facility

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must be strong in Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of AHCA Regulations required
  • Must possess sensitivity in understanding employees' needs while maintaining a senseof balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the facility.
