Together, we will create a society that fosters opportunity, dignity, and well-being for all.Stand Together is seeking a Deputy Managing Editor to spearhead our content development efforts. This person will create impactful, mission-driven content that supports our grassroots initiatives. This role focuses on content supporting Americans for Prosperity, LIBRE, and Concerned Veterans for America.The Deputy Managing Editor will blend strategic oversight with direct content creation, leading a team of digital content producers. Candidates should have a solid foundation in journalism, marketing, communications, or publishing and a passion for storytelling that leads to action.Key Responsibilities• Lead the execution of digital content that bolsters Stand Together's grassroots initiatives, ensuring alignment with our mission. Actively participate as a leader in content strategy discussions.• Oversee content production (articles, newsletters, gated materials, social posts, and other collateral) from concept to publication. Focus on quality, scalability, and measurable resonance with our distinct audiences.• Lead a team of digital producers. Create a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Develop experiments with our digital measurement team and lead your team to do the same.• Manage a roster of freelancers.• Deftly manage relationships with key internal stakeholders with diverse points of view.• Write engaging blog posts, op-ed pieces, and other content that effectively communicates Stand Together's stance on critical issues such as the economy, healthcare, immigration, and the role of government.• Champion processes and workflow efficiency within the team. Oversee content distribution workflow across digital platforms.• Manage the content calendar.Required Qualifications• Demonstrable leadership experience in team and project management.• At least 7 years of professional experience in writing, editing, and communications, evidenced by a portfolio of compelling content.• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.• Intermediate knowledge of SEO and audience metrics, with a talent for crafting engaging headlines and a proactive approach to audience engagement.• A collaborative spirit, capable of taking direction and independently driving content initiatives forward.• Strong commitment to the values of humility and integrity held by Stand Together.• Proficiency in MS Office suite, Adobe, Workfront, and similar technologies.Stand Together helps social entrepreneurs supercharge their efforts to help people improve their lives.
