Bring your creativity, innovation, and can-do attitude to our team and be part of a global company where the work you do today will make a difference for generations to come!The location of this position is nationwide with potential relocation to a Stantec office or remote work negotiable.Your Key ResponsibilitiesWithin our Government Services Division, our highly experienced team provides comprehensive master planning services to a range of clients worldwide. Team members provide expertise in land use, facilities, infrastructure, strategic, and climate resilience planning, along with economic analyses, project programming documentation, and real property inventory management to develop sustainable master plans. With extensive environmental planning experience, our division also brings the added benefit of in-depth knowledge of applicable environmental laws and regulations to the planning process to ensure that clients’ investment decisions reflect established environmental values.Your Capabilities and CredentialsThe successful candidate has knowledge of planning principals, best practices, and techniques of planning; passion for working on urban design and planning projects and related military base/regional/global enterprise studies; knowledge of or direct experience with Installation Development Plans, Area Development Plans, Installation Planning Standards, and/or facilities planning and programming actions (DD1391s, Basic Facilities requirements, etc.); demonstrated experience facilitating charrettes; and the ability to engage and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to prepare a range of master planning products.• Highly motivated professionals with the ability to work individually with minimal oversight and lead project tasks and/or teams• Resourceful individuals with effective problem-solving skills and the ability to meet aggressive project schedules• Individuals who think and create, enhancing the company with a steady flow of fresh ideas, new perspectives, and energy.• * Exceptional technical writing, analytical, and oral communication skills• Proficient at public speaking, presentations, and charrette facilitation• Efficient and organized with attention to detail• Must demonstrate ability to manage project teams• Ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat• Ability and willingness to travel worldwide (must be able to pass background checks) – moderate travel required• Must be a U.S. citizen and have a current passport• Position requires a drug screenEducation and Experience• Bachelor's degree in community/urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.• Minimum of 8 years experience• Relevant federal agency, military master planning, project/base development, and related project/studies experience• Relevant project management experience preferred• Relevant certification (AICP, RA, RLA, PE) or ability/willingness to obtain within 1 year preferred.This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.Stantec is a place where the best and brightest come to build on each other's talents, do exciting work, and make an impact on the world around us.
