This position serves as the Lab Systems Analyst II supporting the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) performing complex and specialized development and analysis functions for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). In this role you will perform complex and specialized development and analysis functions for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and consult with both internal and external user representatives to develop information technology solutions to existing or prospective applications of high complexity. In addition, you will serve as a project leader on highly complex projects while independently planning, developing, and implementing techniques for gathering and interpreting data. This position reviews incoming and outgoing messaging to confirm the data adheres to HL7 compliance standards and keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology field by continuing education through online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
