Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.Role Overview:The Nutrition Finance Specialist is the primary division contact for the Child Nutrition Program. You will respond to questions from sponsoring Indiana organizations that participate in the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Child Nutrition Programs. Primarily, you will complete resource management reviews of school districts participating in the National School Lunch Program.A Day in the Life:The essential functions of this role are as follows:• Analyze and approve annual financial reports in CNPweb.• Be the primary point of contact for claims payment.• Assist program staff with sponsor payment issues.• Work with the Finance Department to create payment schedules.• Administer one-time exceptions and other late claiming processes.• Assist the Finance Department in completing new Vendor Registration and maintaining existing records.• Monitor missing claims and assist sponsoring organizations as needed.• Be the primary contact for (USDA) Equipment Grants.• Distribute funding allocations for equipment grant assistance.• Create guidelines for approved grant applications.• Enter approved grantees into the contract management system.• Track contract approvals and facilitate correspondence between contractors and grantees.• Track funding expenditures.• Send quarterly grant progress reports to USDA.• Approve Equipment Purchase Requests from School Food Authorities.• Process and submit FNS-10, FNS-44, and FNS-418 reports to USDA.• Be the primary reviewer of State Board of Account (SBOA) audit corrective action reviews• Track and notify sponsors to submit examples of implemented corrective actions• Review corrective actions.• Develop and lead training.The job profile is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
