Correctional Security Manager

This position is for permanent Iowa DOC and CBC employees. Those in any other status are not eligible to apply.• Ensure that adequate staffing levels are maintained that subordinate staff are on post, performing in an appropriate manner and held accountable for and receive appropriate instruction and feedback.• Maintain inspection, oversight and approval of KRONOS time cards for security staff, timekeeping validation and quality control, workday vacation approval and vacation relief staffing coordination.• Provide daily and weekly supervision of ancillary institutional areas such as; disciplinary/investigation process, implementation and oversight of daily tool control, implementation and oversight of key control, implementation oversight of property.• Assist the Security Director in the daily supervision and operation of the Security Department, as such is directly related to the orderly and efficient operation of the entire facility.Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:• Two years of full-time work experience as a supervisor in a juvenile or adult community/institutional corrections or jail security program• Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes two years of full-time work as a Correctional Supervisor.For additional information, please click on this link to view the job description.Some positions in this class may require an applicant to have the ability to pass a background investigation.
