Strategy Development and Deployment Specialist

The Iowa Department of Health and Human services is seeking a Strategy Development and Deployment Specialist as a key member of the Performance team. If you are highly motivated and detail oriented, we want you on our team! This is a fast-paced role, responsible for coordinating program management for HHS's public health accreditation efforts as well as supports strategic and operational planning efforts. This position will work across HHS with all executive leaders, managers and staff to coordinate these efforts. To be successful in this role requires an ability to partner closely with staff and leadership to achieve and exceed the standards for national best practices. Innovative thinking and project planning skills are critical in this role.What You'll Do:- Coordinate HHS's efforts to maintain accreditation for the Public Health Accreditation Board(PHAB).- Develop, assess, and monitor the Department's ability to meet accreditation standards.- Develop and coordinate an implementation plan to meet and exceed the accreditation standards.- Build partnerships with local public health to support their efforts to pursue and maintain accreditation.- In coordination with the HHS Strategic Development Coordinator, implement the agency's strategic planning and deployment program and provide tools and resources to assist in the standardization of strategic planning and deployment processes to ensure best practices, operational efficiency, and accreditation requirements.What’s in it for you?Flexibility and Benefits: We understand that life doesn't always fit within a 9-to-5 mold. Graduation from the Iowa Certified Public Manager Program is also equivalent to one year of full-time experience or education.4) Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes twelve months of full-time work as an Executive Officer 1 or comparable specific management-level position.
