The Compass Division of the Comptroller of Maryland is responsible for assisting in the replacement of the Agency's tax processing systems with a new integrated tax system. We are seeking to hire IT Functional Analysts to assist our training and production teams to assist with user training, and monitoring and testing of migrations to production environments. This position is eligible for telework on a hybrid basis.Please Note: Evening and weekend work may be required during peak times of the year. Leave may be limited during certain times of the year due to high volume events, projects or special assignments. May be required to be available for on-call support for off-hours production migrations on a rotating basis. Employees are unable to prepare tax returns outside of the requirements of the job or work for a private accounting company.Minimum QualificationsExperience: One year of experience providing problem analysis and ongoing user support, coordinating system development and implementation, and training users on the functionality of applications for agency or statewide systems housed on mainframe or large client server platforms.Notes• Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Information Technology or other related field with specific coursework in the structure and use of automated information systems for the required experience.• Candidates may substitute the possession of an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration , Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Information Technology or other related field with specific coursework in the structure and use of automated information systems and six months of experience providing problem analysis and ongoing user support, coordinating system development and implementation, and training users on the functionality of applications for agency or statewide systems housed on mainframe or large client server platforms for the required experience.• Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in the Cyber and Information Systems classifications or Cyber and Information specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.• For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service.
