About DTMB:The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.About this position:This position functions as a specialist for the Supplier Performance Management program within the Department of Technology, Management and Budget’s Central Procurement office. This position oversees the coordination between state agencies and vendors to gather, analyze and evaluate performance data for use in specialized supplier performance review meetings with all state agencies. This includes recommending criteria and guidelines, creating the topics for discussion, and what data to request and information to have prepared by the vendors for these business review meetings. This specialist oversees the data presented at these meetings and recommends modifications of policies and procedures within Central Procurement to meet program goals. This position will oversee key IT implementations in terms of supplier performance, such as establishment of new IT systems or overhaul/replacement of legacy systems used within CPS, from conception to end product, and works to improve outcomes. Additionally, this position will implement increased scrutiny for problematic contracts and acts as the liaison between agency and vendor to ensure compliance with contract terms including, but not limited to, scope of work, project milestones, deliverables, invoicing, reporting, etc. This position conducts special projects and studies related to contract compliance as needed, and performs other duties as assigned.View the position description here: Departmental Specialist 13Additional Requirements and InformationPlease attach your cover letter, resume, and OFFICIAL transcript to your application. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. EducationPossession of a bachelor's degree in any major.ExperienceFour years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.Special Requirements, Licenses, and CertificationsEquivalent combinations of nonprofessional experience, identified by the appointing authority and approved by Civil Service that are represented by subclass codes, will be accepted for classified, professional experience equivalent to the P11-level and above.
