This division works to ensure that North Carolina's children grow up safe, healthy and thriving in nurturing and resilient families and communities. It will bring together complementary programs from the Divisions of Public Health, Mental Health, and Social Services to maximize services and outcomes for children and their families, including nutrition programs (SNAP, WIC and Child and Adult Care Food Program), health and prevention services for children and youth, children's behavioral health services, and early intervention programs.  This position will transfer to the Division of Child and Family Well-Being this calendar year.ÂDutiesThe Administrative Associate II is responsible for help covering reception duties and providing administrative support This position provides general office support to include copying and faxing. This position will also help answering a multiple line switchboard and routing all calls to the appropriate person. Greet all clients and visitors when entering the building.  Open and distribute all incoming mail.  Address and meter all outgoing mail correspondence. Assist with filing appropriate information in local client charts.  Receive and send correspondence via fax and mail. This position will assist the billing department with duties such as billing, reimbursement support functions, including reviewing and entering Financial Eligibility Applications and billing forms into the electronic Health Information System (HIS) and submitting electronic and manual claims to Medicaid and private insurance companies. Performs other duties as assigned.To receive credit for all of your work history and credentials, you must list the information on the application form. Qualified candidates must document on the application that they possess all of the following:• Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft office programs, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel (knowledge of any other programs is a plus).• Demonstrate written and oral communication skills, including experience with memo writing, emails and contacting vendors, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time independently.• Ability to complete and prioritize tasks to meet agency deadlines.Some state job postings say you can qualify by an "equivalent combination of education and experience."
