Your work here will help Transform Lives.We have two positions available.For our ALTSA HRC3 Lead:You and your team will provide guidance for the Aging and Long-Term Support Administration (ALTSA) who supports seniors and people with disabilities so they can live with good health, independence, dignity and control over decisions that affect their lives.For our BHA HRC3 Lead:You and your team will provide guidance for the Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) who supports sustainable recovery, independence, and wellness through funding and delivering effective prevention, intervention, and treatment services for youth and adults with mental health conditions and their families.Your role will be primarily conducted remotely, anywhere in Washington state, with occasional travel for in-office work.Some of what you’ll do• Provide professional, senior-level consultation and technical guidance/advice to personnel and managers pertaining to agency policies, procedures, Washington Administrative Code, and Collective Bargaining Agreements• Research, interpret, and clarify rules, regulations, and policies• Provide creative, responsive, high-quality technical advice and consultation• Research options and resolve employee complaints that include EEOC, internal complaints, protected leave, benefits, compensation, and applicable laws• Develop workflows and tools to ensure consistency, efficiency, accuracy, and value-added services to our customers• Train new HR representatives in various processes and resources available• Conduct audits of work performed by HR representatives that include FMLA, personnel actions, appointment letters, and the Immigration Reform and Control Act• Consult on classification issues and position descriptions with supervisors• Partner with the Classification and Compensation Unit, Labor Relations, Layoff Specialists, Reasonable Accommodations Specialists, and the Public Records Unit to provide support to management• Assist appointing authorities with processing layoffsWho Should ApplyProfessionals with a bachelor’s degree with focus on business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related field; and two years of professional human resource experience.OrEquivalent education/experience.Desired• Working knowledge of federal and state laws related to Human Resources• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing in order to provide guidance to administrators, managers, supervisors and employees• Ability to effectively deliver human resource trainingInterested?
