Risk Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

B-Stock is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic Risk Management Department as a Risk Analyst. As a Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks that could impact the organization's operations and reputation. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of risk management, including but not limited to risk identification, assessment, mitigation, compliance management, crisis response, and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Risk Identification & Assessment:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify potential risks to the organization.
  • Evaluate internal and external factors contributing to uncertainties and adverse events.
  • Assess the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks.
  • Prioritize risks based on severity and likelihood to guide resource allocation.
• Risk Mitigation and Control:
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce or control the impact of identified risks.
  • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and preventive measures.
• Compliance and Regulatory Management:
  • Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and adjust risk management strategies accordingly.
• Crisis and Incident Response:
  • Develop and maintain contingency plans for various risk scenarios.
  • Coordinate and lead responses to emergencies to minimize disruptions.
• Training and Education:
  • Provide training programs on risk awareness and management practices.
  • Educate employees and stakeholders on the importance of adhering to risk-related policies.
• Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Continuously monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Regularly report risk assessments, actions taken, and trends to senior management.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with different departments to integrate risk management practices.
  • Ensure effective communication to promote a shared understanding of risk management roles.
• Data Analysis:
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify patterns, trends, and emerging risks.
  • Proactively address potential issues through data-driven risk management.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Regularly review and refine risk management processes based on lessons learned.
  • Stay informed about best practices and adapt strategies to changes in the business environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Proven experience in risk analysis
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Detail oriented

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
