About the job 

You will be a part of one of our development teams and work directly with other Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Product Owners to deliver the best platform for our users.  

Your role will revolve around all the different elements that will bring our product to new heights. This includes implementing new features, scaling existing capabilities, and making our product more amazing every day. The team works with strong goals and a good balance of product & engineering roadmap features. That way we make sure we always keep our technology and product on track! 

Key responsibilities:  

  • Building new features and technological innovations in our Node.js back-end as part of one of our Product & Development Teams.   
  • Understand and help define our platform's architecture together with the team  
  • Challenge team members to continuously develop themselves and our product  
  • Take on a mentoring role for more junior members of your team

Besides being fun to work with, you have:

  • Experienced with modern JavaScript (ES5/ES6+)
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and architecture.
  • Have extensive experience with Node.js
  • Experienced with writing automated testing (Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Mocha)
  • Highly experienced with cloud native technologies e.g., messaging, container runtimes such as Kubernetes, serverless, cloud storage, caching
  • Experience with configuring CI/CD processes using tools such as Gitlab Pipelines
  • Have a deep understanding of building and consuming APIs
  • You're pro-active, result-driven, and excited to work in a fast-growing tech scale-up
  • You're a team player and like to work together to reach our goals
