Strategic Communications Undergraduate Summer Position

The primary purpose of the Undergraduate Student, Strategic Communications, graphic design position is to learn about strategic healthcare communications and train in graphic design, which includes participating in the development of design and production of print and digital materials for MD Anderson's constituents that adhere to institution's brand and visual identity.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Creative/Visual Design and Production: Under the direction and supervision of Creative Communication professionals, develops flyer(s), brochure(s), and graphic(s) for print and digital platforms. Incorporates learnings related to best practices and institutional branding. Understand and obtain price quotes from print vendors and the importance of various papers in design.

Creative Presentation: Identify and complete a presentation summarizing the findings of a creative design project. The project may be self-originated or assigned, based on agreement with the supervisor.

Other duties as assigned. Attends some business meetings and assists with photography art direction accompanied by a Creative Communications professional.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years old and currently enrolled in a degree-granting college or university with a major in Graphic/Digital Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
