      Career Opportunity: Audit Senior Accountant with SFW Partners, LLC in St. Louis, Missouri

      As an experienced Audit Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting with audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP, preparing financial statements, and serving as a trusted advisor for clients across various industries.

      Responsibilities:

      • Assist with audits of client company financials to ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards.
      • Examine records to ensure proper recording and authorization of transactions, compliance with policies, and applicable laws.
      • Prepare portions of compilation, review, and audit engagements, including preparation of workpapers and drafting financial statements.
      • Assist with various special projects.
      • Potentially prepare tax returns and assist in tax planning.

      Qualifications

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
      • Masters in Accounting.
      • CPA certification or progression toward completion.
      • 2 - 4 years of public accounting experience.
      • Knowledge of audit methodologies and risk-based audit approaches.
      • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
      • Client service-oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
      • Familiarity with FASB standards, Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
      • Experience with tax preparation is a plus.
      • Familiarity with financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations.
      • Proficiency in auditing software (e.g., CCH ProSystem fx Engagement, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
      • Ability to prepare clear and concise work papers that support audit conclusions.
      • Solid communication skills to interact with clients and team members, including the ability to clearly explain audit findings and recommendations.
      • Time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
      • Attention to detail and accuracy in performing audit tasks.
