Description

SCT is seeking an Executive Workforce Position Management/Classification Specialist to develop and implement a comprehensive annual executive workforce position management review process for NASA’s Executive Services Division. The Specialist shall partner with the OCHCO, in performance of day-to-day operations, utilize knowledge of strategic workforce planning, executive services regulations, and NASA policies, practices, systems, concepts, and procedures to execute and assess executive service program requirements.

Duties

  • Helps with the design, planning and execution of multiple executive workforce position management reviews to include distinct sessions with different functional groups.

  • Helps in the creation and execution a succession planning strategy and process to support and inform recruitment planning in the upcoming year.

  • Review and analyze workforce data to develop recommendations on workforce trends and succession for the executive cadre.
  • Develop project schedules, integration, prepare briefing packages and presentations, maintain communication schedules, document meeting highlights, and track action items.
  • Preparing and ensuring complete documentation for processes associated with position management, workforce planning, and succession management.
  • Maintain channel and file structure in TEAMS.
  • Schedule recurring meetings with and outside of the team, in partnership with the division team members, stakeholders and others

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in a related field of study with 1 year of experience, or bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience in appropriate area of specialization, or 6 years of experience with no degree
  • Significant Federal HR experience in classification and position management functions 
  • Several years of project management experience
  • Expertise in organizational strategy and position management, succession planning, federal classification, workforce planning and resource analysis
  • Possess presentation skills, data management skills, and analytical skills

Location: Services requested shall support the Executive Services Division. The position shall be badged to NASA Headquarters (Washington DC) and shall be performed primarily in a virtual environment

Travel: Some travel may be needed during the period of performance.
